A Day in the HVAC Field Keeping Jacksonville Cool

6:00 AM – Rise and Shine

The day begins early at Hammond Heating & Air Conditioning. After grabbing my morning coffee and checking the day’s service schedule, I load up the service van with essential parts and tools.

7:30 AM – First Call in Fleming Island

Our first stop is a routine maintenance check. These preventive services are crucial in Florida’s heat. I inspect the condensing unit, check refrigerant levels, and clean the coils. It’s satisfying knowing we’re helping prevent future breakdowns.

10:00 AM – Emergency Call in Jacksonville Beach

A customer’s AC has stopped working completely – not ideal in our Florida weather. After diagnosis, I find a failed capacitor. Thankfully, we keep common replacement parts on hand, and within an hour, cool air is flowing again.

1:00 PM – New Installation in Doctors Inlet

The afternoon involves installing a new energy-efficient system. Working with the team, we:

  • Remove the old unit
  • Install new ductwork
  • Set up the new system
  • Test all components

4:30 PM – Final Service Call in Middleburg

The day ends with a maintenance visit, ensuring another family stays comfortable through our hot Florida summer. It’s rewarding work, knowing we’re helping our community stay cool and comfortable.

Throughout the day, our commitment to quality service never wavers. Whether in Macclenny or Jacksonville, every call is an opportunity to demonstrate why Hammond Heating & Air Conditioning has become a trusted name in Northeast Florida’s HVAC industry.
